Like Design, Illustration is a visual statement, an explanation of a thought.
    It describes something or expresses a concept. Illustration has the potential to be multilingual.     An "illustration" may also be a work of "Art."

    • Combining images can look easier than it is. Like most "arts," making the end product look as though it came into existence effortlessly is one of the hallmarks of a job well done. Isolating products from their backgrounds and adding believable shadows can also be a challenge.
    • Often photos contain people or elements that need to be changed. The woman on the far right in the black & white group shot was not available for San Francisco's MFAC Awards shooting with Mayor Willie Brown.
